The Jasonville Mayor’s Ride will raise funds for the city park again this year.
Mayor Roy Terrell provided details on the event and why it’s important to Jasonville.
“This will be the second year for the ride … basically we’re doing it for funds to improve the city park … last year I had about 60 bikes with 80 people participating and several more people in the park,” he explained.
Last year’s ride raised $2,000. All proceeds go to the Jasonville City Park Fund for improvements.
“With all the budget cuts we’ve had, it’s a strain on the park department, so it’s a way to raise funds for the park,” Terrell added. …<more>
